Nearly half of all French people are in favour of a pro-poor G7

    Published on07/08/2018.

49% of French people are in favour of putting the fight against world poverty on the agenda of the 2019 G7, which will be chaired by France as host to Heads of State of Germany, the United States, Japan, Italy and the United Kingdom. The summit will take place between 25-27 of August 2019 in Biarritz.

This desire to see poverty on the agenda was demonstrated by our survey, conducted a year before the event.

This data comes from our survey conducted by the YouGov Institute and piloted by the research team at University College London and Birmingham University as part of the project Aid Attitudes Tracker which measures the change in opinions and behaviours on international solidarity in France, Germany, the US and the UK.
