    Flagship Programs

Reducing global inequalities, preserving peace and stability, protecting the planet, and fulfilling the ambitions of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) require coordinated international action and the mobilization of as many people as possible.

To support international solidarity actors in their communication, citizen mobilization, research, and advocacy efforts, Focus 2030 produces data, analyses, evaluations, opinion surveys, organizes multi-stakeholder meetings, and provides a wide range of tools.

Focus 2030 focuses primarily on the following areas:

    Key Themes

    Development Financing
Development financing is a central lever of international solidarity.

The volume of resources committed, as well as the types of instruments used, determine the international community’s capacity to reduce inequalities, respond to crises, support the empowerment of the most vulnerable countries, and safeguard global public goods.

In collaboration with its many partners, Focus 2030 closely monitors the evolution of public development aid policies and reforms of the international financial architecture.

    Gender Equality
Gender equality is an essential lever for achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals. It influences progress in poverty reduction, health, education, inclusive growth, and social stability. Despite significant advances over the past decades, persistent inequalities in rights, representation, access to employment, resources, and healthcare continue to hinder development dynamics.

Working with an active community of organizations and institutions engaged on these issues, Focus 2030 analyzes—supported by facts and figures—the role of international organizations, the funding mobilized for gender equality, and the international dynamics that support women’s rights and empowerment.

    Global Health
Global health continues to be marked by profound inequalities in access to care, treatments, and medical innovations worldwide. Despite significant progress over recent decades, maternal and child mortality remains high in many regions, even when effective and low-cost solutions exist.

Recent health crises have also highlighted persistent weaknesses in pandemic preparedness and response, as well as the consequences of chronic underfunding of health systems.

Focus 2030 provides analyses, data, and surveys to inform public decision-making and support actors working to ensure equitable and sustainable access to essential health services.

    Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a universal and indivisible framework to guide collective action toward a fairer and more sustainable future. By integrating the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development, they embody an ambitious vision of international cooperation and shared responsibility.

To address these challenges, Focus 2030 mobilizes a community of actors and provides analyses, data, and insights to guide public policy and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda worldwide.

    MEDIA 2030

Climate crises, pandemics, armed conflicts, structural inequalities, North-South divides, rising nationalism, and setbacks in women’s rights… Global challenges are piling up and intersecting. In this context, informing, analyzing, and raising public awareness about international issues and the role of the international community is urgent.

Focus 2030 has launched five major initiatives aimed at fostering an informed and accessible media debate, making often-overlooked issues visible and understandable, and placing the 2030 horizon at the center of media and political agendas.

    Opinion Surveys

To support communication, mobilization, and advocacy activities of international solidarity actors, Focus 2030 conducts opinion surveys in partnership with its collaborators, targeting representative samples of citizens to understand their perceptions, behaviors, and knowledge regarding the world’s major challenges.
