Focus on global health

International cooperation plays a central role in the global health response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2015, the entire international community adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and thus committed to gather the necessary means and to adopt adequate public policies to promote, among other objectives, universal access to health by 2030. Sustainable Development Goal 3 precisely aims to “ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”.

At a time when questions arise on the efficiency of the actions taken by the international community, Focus 2030 wished to take stock of governments’ investments, notably financial, in the international organizations mandated to support access to health services across the planet.
