French priorities in international solidarity

French people do not know much about international solidarity. And the word "development" does not help them to immediately visualise the development challenges of the poorest countries. However, once French people are given the specific context of the question, they do in fact have precise views regarding what must be "developed" as a priority, with the highest support for the main themes (health, education, economy/autonomy, nutrition) as most important, far ahead of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Nevertheless, French development priorities are not always the same and vary according to political opinion, age, gender, and social-economic status.
