49% of French people say they have traveled abroad in the last three years.
This figure includes tourism and business travel.
Part of these trips are probably made within the European Union, boosted by the advent of low-cost airlines.
This practice (on the rise) tells us about a relative interest that the French have in what lies outside of its borders, elsewhere, in foreign countries.
This data comes from our survey conducted by the YouGov Institute and piloted by the research team at University College London and Birmingham University as part of the project Aid Attitudes Tracker which measures the evolution of opinions and behaviors on issues of international solidarity in four countries.
