To investigate French views on international solidarity, we also need to understand how they see the rest of the world.
Are French people particularly attached to national concerns or are they aware that France is part of a globalized world? How do they understand and relate to "globalization", especially when it comes to international solidarity? How do their opinions shift when asked about "here" (France) and "elsewhere" (Europe and the rest of the world)? What do they understand about interdependencies between countries, cultures and contemporary issues?
